Exodus

Exodus are one of the most famous bands to come out of the crowded Bay-Area Thrash scene of the 80's. Along with Overkill, Exodus are one of the first Thrash bands, having formed around 1980.

Their debut album, Bonded By Blood is considered a classic of the genre and is notable for being the only album original singer Paul Baloff performed on. He died in 2002 of a stroke.

Sadly, Exodus are possibly most well known for being the band Kirk Hammett was in before he was invited to join Metallica. There a a couple of demos featuring him, and the song Impaler from these demos was rerecorded by the band for their 2004 comback, Tempo Of The Damned. One of the riffs in the song can be heard in the Metallica song Trapped Under Ice, off Ride The Lightning.
