Dark Design are a technical power/thrash metal from Raleigh, North Carolina. Since early 2010, the band has comprised of members Ray Lewis and Mike Joyner on guitars, vocalist Andrew Bertrand, and rhythm section Matt and Robbie Mercer on bass and drums respectively. Their technical prowess and progressive song structuring have often been compared to that of Death, Toxik, and Anacrusis. Dark Design have built a strong fan base in their local metal scene and as buzz of the band began to grow they were requested to play the 2012 Warriors of Metal Festival in Ohio. Meanwhile, the band worked on their debut album, Prey for the Future.
