D-A-D (also known as D:A:D or Disneyland After Dark) is a Danish band formed in 1982 by Jesper Binzer (lead vocals and rhythm guitar), StigPedersen (bass and backing vocals) and Peter Lundholm Jensen (drums). On March 3rd 1984, Jesper's little brother, Jacob Binzer (lead guitar)joined the band.
In 1986 they made their first album, Call of the Wild, establishing their own sound within the rock-genre, a sub-genre called Cowpunk. By the late 90s, the original drummer, Peter Lundholm Jensen, was replaced by Laust Sonne, due to the fact that Peter wanted to pursue otherdreams. D-A-D is today one of the biggest names on the Danish rock-stage, but is no longer as big outside Scandinavia as it used to be. « hide |
