Craig Curry, better known as Craig G, is a rapper from NYC. First getting his break at the young age of 12 when he released his 1985 debut single
“Shout Rap” with rap icon Marley Marl, he would soon after become a part of the legendary rap collective Juice Crew. In 1989, at 16 years old, Craig G
released his first album “The Kingpin”, which was a commercial flop, but was an underground hit. He released one more album in 1991, “Now That’s
More Like It”, before taking a break from recording and becoming more focused on being a freestyle rapper. Since his exploration in the underground
freestyle rap universe, he has since developed a strong cult following, and Craig G is widely renown as one of the most impressive and iconic freestyle
emcees to date.
