Cradle of Thorns is a gothic/industrial band from California that first formed in 1988. Originally a dual male/female vocal band that consisted of Ty Elam and Tamera Slayton, Slayton later left the group in 1995, thus leaving Elam as the sole vocalist of the group. In 1997, Cradle of Thorns disbanded, and the members of the group then went on to immediately afterwards form Videodrone, which was signed to Elementree Records, ran by Korn frontman Jonathan Davis. Cradle of Thorns is a gothic/industrial band from California that first formed in 1988. In 1997, Cradle of Thorns disbanded, and the members of the group then went on to immediately afterwards form Videodrone, which was signed to Elementree Records, ran by Korn frontman Jonathan Davis. Videodrone released a few singles and one self-titled album in 1999 to lukewarm sales and critical reception, and Videodrone ended up disbanding in 2000. In 2006, after nearly a decade apart, Elam resurrected Cradle of Thorns with a different lineup, later releasing “All Over Again” in 2008 through digital download, which was their first original release under the Cradle of Thorns name since 1996. The single was later released on disc in 2015. After sporadically touring from 2008 through 2013, Cradle of Thorns’s webpage suddenly went down by late 2015, and activities for Cradle of Thorns ceased as well.
