Axis of Advance was a black/death metal band from Canada, who formed in 1998 and disbanded in October of 2008. They are often referred to as “war metal” due to their lyrical themes. Earlier in their career they were known as Sacramentary Abolishment, until their drummer Paulus Kressman left the band. Their latest (and also last) release is an EP entitled Purify, which was released by Osmose Productions in 2006. Alltogether the band had 3 full-length albums and 2 EPs. The band consisted of three members: Guitarist/vocalist Wör, Bassist/vocalist Vermin, and Drummer J.Read, who is classified as a session member despite his position being apparently permanent.
