Even from their conception, Suis La Lune were no strangers to churning out great material at a respectable pace. Even their smallest moments, like this self-titled demo, are high-quality material. The style of screamo mixed with post-rock is one bursting with emotion and beauty, and as such is easily evocative. Suis La Lune has the uncanny ability to strike gold with this style every time they write a song. From the melancholy piano that connects both of these tracks wonderfully to the saddened agony of the songs within, this demo is eight minutes of an exercise in how to perform this style correctly. This release is considered a weaker one in their discography, too, so if this is the weaker stuff, the stronger stuff is truly amazing.
