1.5 very poor | DaveyBoy EMERITUS | August 30th 11 | Before they incorporated glam-metal influences into their music, Montreal sextet Blessed By A Broken Heart were a straight-up Metalcore outfit... And NOT a very good one. Debut LP 'All is Fair in Love and War' is an unfocused effort, where the band seemed very confused... It is no surprise that their sound drastically changed come album #2. Amateurish clean vocals take a back-seat to Hugh Charron's indecipherable growls (that mask the christian lyrics), while the music is standard genre stuff apart from some solid guitar melodies. And guys, no-one wants to hear you recite the alphabet! Recommended Tracks: Another Day/Another War & Somekind of Wonderful.

1.0 awful | sspedding | February 21st 12 | One of the worst albums I ever heard. Before the multiple line up changes Blessed were made up of barely competent musicians, evidenced by this horrible effort. Very little in the way of guitar melodies, poor vocals, poor songs which for the most part are completely unlistenable. It makes me thankful they underwent such a drastic change following this.

3.0 good | DJTeeLay | February 13th 08 | It's a pretty funny/brutal record.
I liked it a lot more previously than I do now, but overall it's a good album.
Their new style is much more different and interesting so check that out I suppose.
