I will be frank with you, many will try to call this
jangle pop.... I do not find this assessment accurate.
With this album, Lawrence goes straight prog. But this
isn't the kind of corny wanky prog everyone hates, in fact
the exact antithesis. What we have here are beautiful,
sublime, and meditative pieces of innovative music that
closer resemble David Sylvian or Talk Talk than they do
anything that one usually associates with prog. Having
said all that, this is one of the most divine pieces of
progressive rock you're likely to find. Yes, it is that
good. Consider yourself a rarity if these six tracks don't
stir up deep emotions within you. Simply amazing.
