Pieced together whenever Alexisonfire singer/guitarist Dallas Green had some spare time, 'The Death of Me' EP is one hell of a genuine revelation. Containing 6 of the 10 tracks that would go on to constitute City and Colour's superb debut LP 'Sometimes', Green's majestic voice is placed atop sparse acoustic pop-rock to fantastic effect. Variety may be at a premium, but the captivating narratives & wordplay counteract that, and then some. With literally no filler, this 31 minute release is worth a listen for fans of practically any genre of music.
