“Darkside of Innocence” could be another extreme metal band sailing between the gothic and the black metal styles, but it´s much more than that…It´s obvious that they have used the typical combination of one female lyrical voice, choirs, orchestrations and a male voice for the growls and screams but there is a question that comes to our minds every time that we listen to one of their songs: could you imagine the perfect mix between two bands as Cradle of Filth and Dimmu Borgir? How could we join the best part of both bands in only one style? The answer is very simple: the “Infernum Liberus EST”! This first album of the Portuguese metal band has exceeded the limits of that what we can considerate as a beginner band: harps, choirs, heavier drums, powerful riffs and solos…an ambitious proposal for their first project. Five acts formed by one prelude and one song that continues the main story of the whole album about the Sophia´s Heirs: mythological lyrics mixed with a dark ambient that take us to another ancient world of magic and tragedy. Some hits as “Angel of Sin” or “The Eve to a Colder Epoch” contrast with another songs as “To Her Spawn in Full Submission”, more progressive and surprising than the previous ones. Can´t you believe it? Check them out and you´ll become another Sophia´s Disciple…"
