The words I constantly use to describe Satie's composition are eerie, haunting and beautiful. Je te veux is no exception, however there's something else to it, a nostalgiac yearning and a desire never to let go. It's a waltz and feels just like that, a last dance with a lover whom you don't want to see go and later, a memory. A need to be back there, holding onto whatever you loved for just a little longer.
