Rooftops show huge amounts of potential in their debut album. Consisting of three guitarists, a drummer, and occasionally a trumpet player, the band creates beautifully intricate harmonies and gripping melodies that totally engross the listener and transport them into a world full of tapping guitars and energetic drumming. Despite being an intensely complex piece of music, A Forest Of Polarity manages to stay largely accessible. Rooftops' indie, pop, and math rock roots are often heard in their irresistibly catchy riffs and angelic, although infrequent, vocals. This album is definitely one not to miss, and can be recommended easily to fans of almost any type of rock.
