There are many bands that have attempted to blend electronic music with alternative rock, and Apoptygma Berzerk does it right. They take ques from bands such as Muse and Depeche Mode and take those bands a step further. Stephan Groth is an immensely talented electronic musician. He creates electronic rock with a soul. Every song on Rocket Science has a story to tell and information to convey. Highlights of the album include "Shadow," "Weight of the World," and an awesome cover of Suede's "Trash."

Apop take what they did on You and Me Against the World and well, don't do much. While the previous album seemed to turn its back on the futurepop sound of the earlier work, it was damn catchy with the abundance of guitars plus synth lines and all that stuff. Apop had essentially made a rock album. However, with this the catchy-ness is gone and the band just fails at trying to be progressive (if that's even possible). Longer songs do not suit this band at all and it all comes off as boring and passable.
