Review Summary: Across the sun has something great here
Across the sun is a 5 piece melodic metalcore band from Portland Oregan. they have released 2 other EPS and, 1 full length. This ep blows there other 2 eps out of the water and it shows how great this band really is.
the EP starts off with May Silence Keep You which is my favorite track off the ep it starts off with good riffing and then the song starts flowing greatly. brandon davis is a complete vocalist all the way around. Alot off people bash him for his clean vocals which i think sound great ,and he has a real harsh scream that is quite good. the solo at about 3:40 is great; sam hafer is a exceptional guitarist and really does a good job. this track definetly deserves a listen a 5/5.
The Ardent Optimist is the second track and is my number 2 song from this ep. the guitar work is good an audible bass the keyboard elements are great, vocals are great and alan ashcraft puts forth some good fills on this track. 4/5
Angelic Deception is next and is a solid track all the way around. They had a music video shot for this track ,and its the only music video they have right now. This track doesnt blow you away but its solid in about every aspect. a solid 3.5/5
Farewell The Favored is the next track , And what stands out the most in this track is shain's keys he does an excellent job on the keys , And the hole song is improved from it. 3.5/5
The Illusionst is next and is another very solid track. great key work ; guitar work is great and the fills bye alan are great. This track really helps the ep not got boring after the first 2 tracks. very solid song 4/5.
Then Pestilence and Rapture the closing self title track and, again these guys put forth another very solid track. The keys and vocals stand out to me the most and a good track to end the ep. 4/5
