Review Summary: Seeing as this is the band's first try at music, its a pretty good album. But they could have done much much better, thats for sure. A Lifelike Story sounds a lot like a Paramore wannabe. Like a cross between VersaEmerge and Paramore, but not upto the mar

Bryan Welsh (Guitar/ Vocals)
Taylor Ruggieri (Vocals)
Garrett Hoffman (Bass)
No permanent drummer

Review:

A Lifelike Story is pretty new to the punk scene. Flowers for Wednesday is their debut self-produced EP, and not bad at all. The lyrics are clean, vocals pretty smooth, the guitar-work isn't bad, bass simply plays along, drumming was nothing complicated but sounded great all the same.

Dawn of Disaster - the song starts off with a riff from Bryan synchronised with some drumming which is played over a few times. After its third cycle, the vocals kick in and drumming continues, and faint chords on the guitar can be heard in the background. Taylor sings in the chorus with Bryan playing some quick riffs on the guitar. During the chorus, vocals from Bryan kick in a few times and fuses with Taylor's to create an amazing effect. Then it goes back to the intro music for a few seconds before Taylor's vocals return for the second verse. The second chorus is a little different from the first. It starts with more of that duet vocalizing from Bryan and Taylor just like before, but this time it lasts for a few more seconds and then the same chorus kicks in. The bridge has only Taylor singing the lyrics from the chorus softly and then the chorus starts again. Overall, not a bad song : 6/10

We've Got The Night - It starts with Bryan playing a pretty cool riff for about 3 seconds and then the drums enter with a bang. The riff continues with drums accompanying it. Taylor starts singing after the riff's 2nd cycle. The chorus isnt that great, especially after listening to Dawn of Disaster. The two songs are VERY similar, at least the choruses are. But after listening to the song a few times, you'll begin to notice how its different. The bridge is very well done, with an awesome riff. The song closes with the chorus which plays over a twice and then ends with the intro music. OK song : 6/10

All Things Considered - This song opens with an awesome intro music consisting of a screaming riff on the guitar and drum beats synchronised with bass to give a cool effect. The intro ends quickly, giving way to Taylor's singing. The vocals in this song were much heavier and faster than the other tracks making this the "darkest" song in the album. Chorus is pretty good with some high-pitched singing. The bridge had Bryan play a few more riffs on the guitar which sound fantastic. The latter part of the bridge goes quiet with just a few notes on the guitar and Taylor singing a line from the chorus. Song ends with nothing special, only Taylor repeating that one line from the chorus ("What did I do wrong? Time goes by!"). Pretty good track : 6.5/10

Never Been Better - This song wasn't as great as the others in the EP. The track mainly had whiny lyrics about a break-up but mean something deeper than that. Fast-paced riff accompanies the boring lyrics. The song stays pretty much the same throughout. I mean come on! Not a single change in tempo! Monotonous track : 5/10
