Remember Grandmaster, right? Well, all of us that really like Hip Hop should respect this name, for all that Flash made to the genre. In 2009, we can (finally) get to know the next chapter in his story.
Technically speaking, has everyone expected, the album is flawless. The beats are neat, clean, and club-focused.
Speaking of club-focused, we can tell that this is not a deep album, from a elder god from hip hop. Nope. It's fresh, and ready for the B-Boys (Check out the "Tribute to the Breakdancer" - A deserved tribute, and a good tune). Honestly, I was expecting some balance between more complex songs, and the groovy ones, but we can't see them here. Only the groove. It's alright. I'm not mad.
Highlights:
"Here comes my DJ" - Speaking of club-oriented, this is definitely the name that says it all!
"What If" - A semi-mind-tickling song, trying to remember all of us how the world would be if Hip Hop was never born.
Bottom-Line:
3/5
If a friend of yours wants you to show him/her what is Hip Hop, don't show this album. If your throwing a party, bring it.
