Overall Review:
The album is a mellow soundboard of ind-jazz and fusion and has a very ambient, eastern feel. It showcases some of India's best musical talent when it comes to contemporary tabla players, hindustani classical vocalists, and Indian percussionists who accentuate Sanjay's mature guitaring.
The vocals of all tracks are definitely not the highlight of the album, some of them resemble Hindustani raagas, which are difficult to interpret but are great for the feel of the album, backed by full, heavy synth pads, and broken by intense tabla 'jugalbandis' which is much like a musical question answer session between 2 or more instruments.
Definitely one of Sanjay's best pieces of work, and in short, the only negative aspect one could think of would be the english-lyrical deficits, however, for a Hindi-music listener, the album is far from disappointing.
Rating:
****
I would definitely rate the album 4 stars of 5, because the tempo, language, feel, and overall effects used scan a braod spectrum and cover the aspect of fusion which the listener is looking for.
The tracks that stand out in the album are: Raghupatti, Naino Sey, and Full Circle.
Overall, definitely an album wherein the musical capacity would be likely to blow your mind.
