Noah & The Whale aren't bad, untalented musicians at all. I have so many problems with this album in the scope of what it clearly aims to achieve; cute, charming songs with a level of nerdy naivety. It's a concept that's easy to relate to but it's unhealthy in that I think it so fluffy, it's scratching the most melodramatic emotions a listener can muster. It's not real-world problems, it's fictitious. The instrumentation is something to enjoy but again, it's like a gentle puff of cloud without the storms brewing blackly inside.
