3.6 great | manosg EMERITUS | April 19th 17 | Having formed in the early '90s, Disharmony disbanded in 1995 having released only three demos and an EP. Goddamn the Sun is the Greeks' debut LP and it includes all those elements that characterized Greek black metal bands 25 years ago. Overall, the music is reminiscent of that of early Rotting Christ and Varathron with emphasis on melodies, a distinctive occult atmosphere and mid-tempo song structures. The drumming in particular is pretty good but the band could have avoided the unnecessary album introduction, the starting 1:30 minutes of "Third Resurrection" and have worked a bit more on the production by making the bass a bit more audible and lowering the vocals.
