Arvan Ald Guulin Honshoor is a bizarre yet not unpleasant amalgam of reasonably typical
folk metal tropes (Korpiklaani, Ensiferum et al.) with traditional Mongolian instrumentation in
the guise of a balalaika and a morin khuur, or traditional Mongolian fiddle. The cover of
'For Whom the Bell Tolls' is surprisingly good, and while the vocals take a couple of minutes to
adjust to, Nine Treasures' influences gel well throughout. -
