code orange kids song is a waste of space, self-defense family song is fucking weird, but the tigers jaw and twiabp songs are fucking killer

It's a bit of a shame, but this 4-Way Split is less than the sum of its parts. What I mean by that is, while the songs range from very good (Self Defense Family's "Holy Trend") to filler (Code Orange Kids' "VI (Worm Fears God // God Fears Youth))", they fail to coalesce in any meaningful way, which most splits are able to do no problem. It's cool all of these bands who play vastly different punk from each other were able to do this, but just because they're in the same room with each other doesn't mean they'll agree. It's cool for what it is, but in the grand scheme of their respective discographies, it's more or less desultory.

The Tigers Jaw track is probably one of my favorite Tigers Jaw songs. TWIABP's song is definitely worth checking out. Code Orange Kids' song is interesting enough but Self Defense Family's song is awful.
