From start to finish this album is the epitome of the word ‘surprise’. I've reviewed hundreds of albums, and none have been this hard to define to a genre. Believe me when I say, in this case, that’s not a bad thing. Each song has a unique life of its own and each song brings something new and exciting to the table. Four vocalists, all with incredibly unique vocal styles, singing, rapping and screaming their way through what is quite literally the most impressive independent release I've had the pleasure of reviewing this year. The album begins with a bang, and goes out the same way. Without giving too much away, the album seems to have been constructed in such a way that left me feeling like I’d just participated in a story. While the connections aren't obvious, the feeling is there. The album begins with a powerful and optimistic vibe, deals with some mixed emotions in the middle and ends broken and lost. While the album is incredibly vulgar at times and very deserving of its Parental Advisory logo, it also has several moments of redemption. The album covers a vast array of topics ranging from politics, religion, and heartbreak to internet trolling, strippers, high school house parties and more. There is genuinely something for everyone here, but if you don’t understand the concept of fun, you won’t understand Trap House Rave. Standout tracks are “The Kids Next Door”, “The Strange”, “Cancer.jpg” , “The Deadliest Catch” and “23:12”.

It's got a bit of everything, I think it would be really hard for anyone (other than music snobs, of course) to find a song they didn't like.
