Those crashing piano chords in combination with the song title Apocalypse Please just feels so overdone, it makes me cringe everytime I listen to that song.

Really? I love Apocalypse Please as an opener. It's a little overdone, sure, but it's really commanding and perfectly sets up the concept/sound.
Anyway, i'm not sure whether or not this or Black Holes is their second best album (Origin Of Symmetry is the best), but it's certainly a fantastic work.

Album single handily got me into music. This used to be a definite 5 for me but it has worn off very slightly, some parts just don't do it for me anymore. But the majority is still awsome.
