Iommi's the absolute king of riffs. There are good riffs even on the weaker Sabbath albums.

It was a combination of many bad things. Drugs, no inspiration, weariness from the constant touring-recording routine. But most importantly, it was their ego that went through the roof and they couldn't work harmonically.
