I have two main gripes with the vocals on Our Darling Daugter. First, the way the vocals are layered. One of the tracks almost always seems like it's hitting the wrong notes, which distracts from the actual song. Second, besides tempo-wise, the vocals sound like they belong in a whole different song. I'm fairly certain that this song was recorded fairly early, because you can tell that his vocals aren't as strong as they normally are elsewhere in the CD.

As for the actual song, I find it repetitive music-wise. Maybe I'm totally off my rocker, but I just can't get into the song.

Good review, i totally agree, some of the songs are rather boring but some of them are amazing. I also think The Fight Of Moses Early And Sir Arthur McCloud is one of the musical highlights

I don't agree with what you said about "The Margretsville Dance" as it is probably my favorite song on the album...or one of them. I believe that this album is amazing and I love it and it wasn't a bad review.

i love all the obvious comic-book reference titled song (ADinF, WWtW) and 78 rules...the folky-ish stuff isn't as interesting though...

Easter is probably one of my favorite tracks from this album. Anyone else like it at all?

Who Watches the Watchmen is really quite stunning. Claudio's way with pop music is pretty great.

Yeah man, definitely brings the spoops. And the lap steel on Wayne Andrews is just beautiful...

It always makes me feel kinda fuzzy though, cos I used to sit on the train going to see my girlfriend listening to this. Dunno why I always went for this album, in retrospect.
