Old In flames is the shiz...

This is not death metal this is pop metal. Just a terrible album that just plods and plods and plods. From the wimpy forgettable riffs to the generic vocals, pedestrian drumming, and non-existent bass. There are no memorable moments to be found on this album. So fucking boring.

These laughably bad melodeath bands are more about the hooks then the riffs, but the hooks aren't even good. Just listen to Moonshield which repeats the hook over and over. Is hearing it so many times suppose to make the song better?

Stale, bland, and uninspired songwriting can sum up The Jester Race.

Anyone who thinks this is a masterpiece is delusional.

fun facts: In Flames was my favourite band for all of high school and still one of my favourite bands, I have never heard this or Whoracle in full and the only In Flames I haven't heard. :]

I've heard select songs from both though not like I haven't heard them at all. This never appealed to me back in high school when my music taste was much more entry level so I don't have the nostalgia attached to these like I do to their other albums. For real tho the jester race is one of their best songs.
