A little too "symphonic" for my tastes, but misanthropic nonetheless. For some reason it seems like in certain parts the melody was carried by the keyboard rather than the guitars. I like it when the keyboards just add to the atmosphere (Burzum's Det Som En Gang Var is a prime example), rather than being the driving force of the song. Very melodic though and pretty impressive, a great listen albeit 'cheesy' in alot of parts.

i downloaded this and it's great, thougth i have a feeling that the music sounds better in stereo speakers rather than computer speakers, so i better find this album sharpish!

My god, this album is insanely hard to find.
But worth every second of sifting through stores. What an epic conception of musical ability. You don't even have to enjoy death metal to appreciate the qualities exemplified by Mirrorthrone. The first thing that hit me was the passionate melodics in A Scream To Express the Hatred of a Race. The entire song is so unbelievably fast, but the coherency is amazing, and there's never a letdown in the melody. Why can't all metal be as provocative and deep as Mirrorthrone?
