Surely this album is not 'unclassifiable' (I find that irksome) as there are plenty of things it isn't, like bluegrass or trance etc. I would go with Goth Rock.
They are about as pure Alternative as you can get. Definitely not Goth, in any sense of the word.
I gave it 4.9/5

That's nearly as good as it gets...
Exactly, should be a 5:p

This album is really good. It's the only thing I've ever heard from them, but its just sooo good. I can't imagine Muse making anything that can beat Showbiz. But when I get a chance I will definitely check out one of their other albums.

amazing album, great review muse rule. Did you know that this album is all about muses hatred of their hometown of teignmouth? OoS is about robots taking over the world (?) and absolution is the end of the world. Weird huh? this albums meaning comes over in lyrics like (1000 houses burning down, no one is going to save this town) on falling down.

4.5/5

Just got this, finally, after having the other three albums forever. Favorite tracks so far are Sunburn, Cave and the title track.

No.

Muse is really in the middle for me. It seems to be really boring most of the time.

Sunburn, Muscle Museum, Cave, and Showbiz are sooooo good. Muse never bores me and Matt Bellamy is fucking awesome.
