I don't know what it is about this band but they just don't seem to hit me like other bands do. I want so much more from these guys than what they're doing. They have the potential but for some reason i don't think they're that great.

yea but if i could on second thought i'd change it to your rating. The music is good sometimes but it gets repetitive. Also I think the vocals are horrible IMO.

This CD is decent, but I think you're overrating it, Shadows. It's got some good riffs and some pretty cool solos on it too, but it's nothing I haven't heard already.

Well I know that, you're like the numero uno Shadows Fall fanboy.
It's just not as good as some other modern metal albums that I've heard. The band has a vast potential and can truly be great one day, but they're just not there yet.

Don't like it. Now that I think more about it, can't stand it.

Whatever floats your boat I guess. This isn't as good as the last two Shadows Fall albums, but I still think it's damn good; especially by America's standards. Many of the riffs and solos here just blow my mind. I'd say Arsis is one of the few American bands to match (possibly surpass) SF.

This is the 1st SF album Ive bought and IMO I thought it was pretty average. The musicians have talent but the vocals bring the music down. The songs get a bit repetative to. Whatever I guess im not a fan.

I gave this album another chance and i changed my rating from good to great. I guess I got used to Brian's vocals and i can enjoy whole sound instead of just the instruments.

No, no, no, no, no, and no.

Yes.
Well, Arsis can compete, but that's about it. Those two bands are dominating the new acts with virtually no competition.

Best American Metal Band? Hell freaking no.
Best popular in the mainstream? Perhaps...
I'm not sure about nowadays, but they had their shining moments a few years ago.

Hmm i might have to say Arsis beats Shadows Fall. for the best american band. But still, Shadows Fall is an amazing band.
