If I wouldn't have known Owens has sung in Priest, I'd comment his falsetto sounds remarkably like Halford's sometimes.

Something Wicked This Way Comes or Burnt Offerings are my favorites by these guys.

I like this a bit more than Burnt Offerings and Something Wicked has Coming Curse, so that's automatically the best.

Musically the album is very good, and Gettysburg is their greatest achievement

the lyrics are well written too,but doesn't it sound silly in the period when this album was made??I mean ok, Barlow felt that his country needed him???wtf??

and seriously, they were talking about american history in a period of total confusion.Come on mr Schafer, are you that national zealot??When the eagle cries???come on,this is way too cheesy...

anyone looking at the booklet can found an advertisment of an antique shop with miniature models of tanks and planes and etc... It's kinda over the top

Hey Richard, it's your dad. We caught some flat-heads and fed them to the catfish. Well, I guess that's about it. Love ya bub!

All the issues Iced Earth had by this point had nothing to do with Ripper

Is pretty enjoyable, but the discography of Iced Earth has albums that are far better than this.

Burnt and Something Wicked are the 2 best efforts of this band.

I apsolutely don't know what I'm missing here and why people don't like this one. This one i their best for me. So serious, deifferent lyrics direction, melodic, brutal vocals, totaly different form past albums and better for me. Trilogy is masterpiece!!! :D :D :D

First time listening to this in its entirety:
-Doing a rendition of the Star Spangled Banner was a terrible choice.
-Everything else is pretty kickass.
