Well, for almost all of us, it's the greatest flaw in this album: that it's pretending to be something it isn't. So of course that's going to be addressed.

Just about every Judas Priest review has a lot of nice things to say about Rob Halford's voice, but I don't hear you complaining about that. Let's keep it in perspective, shall we?

Uhhh maybe I don't listen Judas Priest therefore can't complain or praise Rob Halford's voice.

It was just an example. Don't need to take it that seriously.

I mentioned similarities to Metallica and James Hetfield, but I'm positive that I didn't make it out as one of the flaws.

"Even Matt Heafy has modeled his singing voice after James Hetfield."

Ok there's at least one quote from this review that mentions either Metallica or James Hetfield. Do you need another?

But I don't think it was the basis of the whole review.

I'm sorry that you guys think i said it was a flaw. I just wanna see someone write one that doesn't say anything about them.

I wish someone would write a review of an album without telling us what it sounded like.

Sounding like someone who already isn't that great of a vocalist is a flaw in my book, and flaws should be pointed out.

trivium is a growing band, and they shouldnt be bashed for trying to incorporate the sounds of a band that they idol. i bet you a million bucks their next record wont sound anything like the crusade....i know this cuz i got to meet the band at one of their shows and told them how everybody bashes on them for sounding like metallica, and they said "they wont have to worry about that in our next album."

im just hoping theyre not going to follow another idol's sound

If the incorporation on those sounds borders on plagiarism, then yes we should bash them.

Unfortunately people take bashing Trivium a little too far.

/throws piss balloon

Yimmypalooza still hasn't learnt the ways of Sputnik, and will consequently be coming back for more. Be ready Steerpike.

Yimmypalooza. What if a really shitty band made an album that sounded exactly like another album from 20 years ago, yet worse. And what if their previous album had potential, but this new one just completely threw it all away just because they were aspiring to be a band. And by aspiring I mean plagarizing. And by band I mean Trivium. And by other band I mean Metallica.

trivium is a growing band

So, throwing all the potential they had out the window and attempting to imitate 80's thrash metal is growth?

and they shouldnt be bashed for trying to incorporate the sounds of a band that they idol.

Yes, they should. It's prefectly fine to have influences, but Trvium took it way too far with this album.

i bet you a million bucks their next record wont sound anything like the crusade....i know this cuz i got to meet the band at one of their shows and told them how everybody bashes on them for sounding like metallica, and they said "they wont have to worry about that in our next album."

I bet, even despite that questionably legitimate quote, that their next album will be another sad attempt to recapture the sound of 80's thrash metal. Not sure why, perhaps because everythin else you said was wrong.

Heh, no, they already ripped off Metallica. The next album will probably be a Slayer record.
