AA is a very stong live act. I saw them open for COB last year, it was pretty awesome.

good review.
I thought this album could have been better. It was not as good as previous releases, but I still return to it every now and then.

I had this cd in my car non stop for 2 weeks mind you it was the only cd I had at the time (long story) but I have to say it is a great album. I'm not a huge death metal fan but this is pretty melodic and the vocals are great. I also like the Viking subject matter and every song tells a story. It was pretty fitting music for a road trip around the Scottish Highlands where the Vikings use to pillage. So if your into your death metal with a Viking twist check this out.

This album is great, but I've heard Cry of the Black Birds and Runes to my Memory WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too much.

Gods of war and prediction of warfare are pocket aces of awesomeness. Gets me pumped up all the time. Cry of the black birds never tires me, no matter how much I hear it.

The beginning of Gods of War Arise is so amazing; that and Asator are the two best tracks on here.

Hermods Ride to hel is my favorite. I cant wait until that part in the middle when his tone changes. If its true..what you say to me.. that the whole world mourns his death. Cant help but get up and scream along.

Not heard all of the album, but what I've heard is awesomely epic and brutal, all while maintaining an amazing sense of melody. Amon Amarth kick ass.

I like this one much better than "Fate of Norns." It's still a bit repetitive, but not as much. I really enjoyed "Asator" "With Oden On Our Side", and "Cry of the Black Birds."

Im sorry but this album is too good. Always the right choice to put on when in the metal mood. Insanely epic while shield splintering heavienessThis Message Edited On 01.27.08
