^^^ I have always thought Emperor to be better than Dissection but hey, that's just me.

This is a great album. Not a lot of variety but an awesome atmosphere and sound throughout.

Black Wiards boasts more great guitar leads and of course the world-famous blast beats.

This certainly is a classic, but I think "Anthems To The Welkin At Dusk" is Emperor's best work. This album is awesome though. This album also has one of my favorite pieces of cover art ever. Necrolord is amazing. This Message Edited On 07.22.07

"What planet are you from?"

A planet where I have a more refined taste in black metal instead of jumping on the bandwagon and liking every single black metal band out there just to say Im an elitist black metal fan.

This album is the essential Black Metal release alongside 'Pure Holocaust', 'Hvis Lyset Tar Oss', 'Storm Of The Light's Bane', 'A Blaze In The Northern Sky', and 'Blood Fire Death'.

Gypsy is a bad cover, but the solo at the end makes it good.

No, it's the fact that the original is obnoxious as well.

My version seems to have shitty production. Is that just how it is?
