Release Date: 2003 | Tracklist

Review Summary: One of the better albums I have heard by genre's of this type. The number 12 did a good job with some of the songs on this album and really pulled it off good in the end.

The Number 12 Looks Like You is:

* Jase - Vocals
* Justin Pedrick - Vocals
* Alexis Pareja - Guitar
* Jamie Mcilroy - Guitar
* Michael Smagula - Bass
* Jon - Drums

They are a Grindcore band which fuse together Deathmetal and Screamo. They started in 2003 with there first album 'Put on your rosey red glasses' and have made 1 ep and a new full length album since then. They combine sceeches and deathmetal grunts for good vocals.
Now for the songs-

Don't Get Blood On My Prada Shoes:
This song starts with a weird sound in the background then breaks away fast into the drums and music which leads into the vocals which are next to impossible to understand, yet great. This song dosen't really slow it's pace down but it's one of the better tracks on this album despite it's length, and it has some of the best instrumental in it.
4/5

Jesus And Tori:
This song starts off with some music and a guirtar in the background which then leads to grunts and screaming. The music in this song is so-so but I think it just drags on after a while. At almost the end of this song you are left with guitars and music in the background.
3/5

Document, Gracebudd:
This isn't exactly a song it's an audio clip and a very disturbing one at that. There is a realy 'eerie' sound that keeps repeating in the background which just adds to the 'creepy-ness' of this track. There's not realy too much to say about this seeing as it's not something that you would listen to more then once off of this album.

Blue Dress:
This song starts off with a mechanical- sort of voice and then goes into the vocals which sound real good in this song, a combination of grunts and screams make it a real good track. This song by far has the best drumming in it out of any song on this album. Purely amazing!
5/5

If There Bullets Could Talk:
This song is heavy and fast from the very beggining, one of the more 'different' songs on this album, it deffinitly stands out because of the music, lyrics, guitar and above all the lyrics, this song in my opionion has some of the best lyrics ever. Everything fits into place and the ending of the song is very epic and where the vocals are at there best. After all the screams and instruments are taken out your left with a melodc humming and some nice music in the background.
5/5

Bambi The Hooker And A Case Of Beer:
This song is pretty short with only 0:55 seconds. This song is to intense for me personaly and just dosen't display the talent that most of the other songs on this album do. The screaming and grunts in this song are not that good nor is the lyrics. The only standout in this really is the drumming.
2/5

Empty Calm:
This song deffinitly dosen't seem like it belongs on this album at all. It is just an instrumental song only that pretty much repeats the same stuff. It has a very moledic beat to it but just isn't that enjoyable, at the end of this track you can hear the words "The river it holds the color you see as love" which you will hear again at the very end of the next track.
3/5

Civeta Dei:
The last track on the album which is a real good one to end it all with. It starts off with a nice beat and music to it and then goes into the drums and guitar. The vocals in this song are also good, and the song goes on fast until about half way through where they repeat the same lyrics "Justice shines as an amber sky drips a tear upon a sunset". The song goes on and gets more faced and epic and at the very end they repeat the lyrics "the river holds the color you describe as love" until the song ends leaving you feeling amazed.
5/5

This album does take a few listens to before you start to enjoy it but after a while you will problably like it more and more. Although this album is rather short and has some songs that aren't the best, there are still some real good songs to be heard. I recommend this to anyone of this genre.

Recommended songs:
-Blue Dress
-If These Bullets Could Talk
-Civeta Dei

The Number Twelve Looks Like You stole my outlook on music, and I don't ever want it back....

A great album, while certainly entertaining and quirky, loses all coherency or any other positive as...

Do u mean the mechanical voice on blue dress that at the beginning says "How dry i am, nobody knows how i dry i asikfhaslfashfasklfhaslfkahs"

Oh and the review isn't bad but it seems like you jump immediatley into the track by track w/ little information about the band. You really don't get a feel for the band that much, this cd has much more to say about it then just descriptions of the tracks. Just my opinion :-)This Message Edited On 09.28.06

I was very shocked that no one reviewed this album but me. And yes I do mean that voice in the beggining... I would have put more because I could go on about this band all night but I didn't have all that much time, i'll add some touch ups later on tho

there best album. but they will never make another like it since they announced their new genre is "jazzcore" (nuclear sad nuclear) while this is more (metalcore, grind, and mathcore)

and the my sharona cover sucks. no one listen to it. blue dress kicks the S*** out of my sharona.
