It's weird over the last year addiction has been much more of issue for me than love but I can still see parallels between the two in the lyrics. I guess for all intents and purposes my addiction was like a relationship in a sick way.

His lyrics become increasingly relatable as each album goes. I can relate only partially to Let It Enfold You's lyrics because I find a lot of them incredibly immature. I'm sure Buddy does now too. Still an amazing lyricist though.

Yes thank God. Still Searching and The Fire are both albums that help me whether I'm fighting my problems, or down in the deep. I haven't been drunk in almost a month, haven't been trashed off narcotics since December. In November I was starting to pop adderal and painkillers at the same time and worse. So glad I skidded to a halt. I've come close to never coming back a few times good God I've been a dumbass. Anyway, I've always felt Buddy is at my side in some weird way, no matter if I'm off in the deep end or fighting to stay afloat, or appearing to thrive.

gratz on not drinking for a month. i actually haven't had a drink in 10 months but i still smoke weed every day lol. and yeah those pills can be addicting been there too.

Yeah this weed thing is rough. I also haven't smoked cigarettes in over a month! Been smoking since late 15 years old. Popped lortabs everyday from 17-21, started up again when I turned 22. Will be 23 on April 12.
Anyway, Congratulations on not drinking for 10 months that's incredible bro!
