Not too bad. Fortunately, I got to listen to this before NOLA, so I was able to avoid the disappointment factor.
Album has too many tracks.

One reason I like this one better than NOLA is cause the slower songs here are done so amazingly well. "Where I'm Going" and "Learn From My Mistake" are masterpieces.

THERE'S SOMETHING ON MY SI-YEEEEEED

It's shocking how few people actually listen to this and give it a chance compared to NOLA

In terms of track listing and scope, this is a far superior album to NOLA in many ways.

However, nothing can ever surpass NOLA because its NOLA.

Besides....

it has way more riffs.

I think of them each as classic albums from separate genres.

For me, NOLA beats this in every way

Not knocking this album, NOLA is just basically perfect

basically what I was trying to say, while showing that this album is sick in its own right.

Your rating would indicate that you agree.

Yeah NOLA is just way more coherent as a whole, but this has really interesting songwriting and has some amazing riffs that almost rival NOLA. It can just feel a bit all over the place and I really don't like the production too much (bring back the SLUDGE), but is still a great album

This is solid albeit a letdown from NOLA (but almost anything would be)

You know, I actually think Down 3 might be better than this one or about as good.. not sure!

Down 3 is great but this is easily the better album imo. Probably their most diverse album with some very memorable songs. Nothing on 3 stands out to me in any particular way
