I'm getting into dream theater, so I think this is a good CD to start

I watched about 45 minutes of this in someone's dorm nearby where I heard the music blasting, and I must say, this was pretty freaking neat. The only Dream Theater listening experience I had prior to watching it was just hearing "A Change of Seasons," and this was rather entertaining. A good big sound, and the keyboard-player was intense, especially with the finger board.

I gotta say, Dream Theater are absolute BEASTS live. Something almost hypnotic about the way Myung rocks back and forth, although Petrucci is slightly disappointing. Mike's a great live performer, and LaBrie's vocals are fantastic here. The keyboards almost scare me with their speed, and this may well be my favourite live performance of all time, along with NINs And All That Could Have Been.

The only DT live album I have is the Budokan one. I really want to see them live.
Apparently they'll be touring Europe with Opeth in the future. I want. This Message Edited On 03.31.09

I'd say this is better than the Budokan. I saw Dream Theater live at Progressive Nation last year, it was amazing. Then I saw Liquid Tension Experiment at their 25th Anniversary tour, which was the most incredible display of musicianship I've seen live.

Raise The Knife is definitely one of the highlights, along with Sacrificed Sons, my favorite performance off of the whole DVD, that song absolutely slays with the orchestra.
