Yeah, but the first three are the essentials. I hate to sound like an elitist, but it's true.

Something Wild was my first Bodom album and Lake Bodom is probably my favourite song from these guys.

Good stuff.

I like this CD a bit more then the newer stuff cause it has such a black metal feel to it.

Lake Bodom is a good song, minus the vocals... is the rest of the album worth a listen considering I really like Are You Dead Yet?

If you like Lake Bodom, then yes. This album sounds nothing like AYDY though, so you can't really go by that.

I've yet the actually purchase one of these guys albums. Would this one be a good place to start? I've heard Deadnight Warrior and loved it.

So then why do you have Follow The Reaper rated a 5?

I've heard all the songs from Follow The Reaper via download. I was asking what would be a good choice for first actual purchase.

Sounds like you're trying to slip your way out of a sticky situation, but oh well.
I only own Follow The Reaper, so I can't really advise you.

I would recommend Hatebreeder or Follow the Reaper for a first purchase.

I've already heard everything from FTR, so I think I'll wait a while to get that one. I have heard good things about Hatebreeder, though. Think I'm gonna go with that.

Hatebreeder and Follow the Reaper are both great choices indeed.

Well, after further listening, I have decided to up this to a 4.5. My reasoning? When I first listened to this, I found it very enjoyable, but slightly uncordinated for some reason. But I've been on a Bodom binge these past few days, and this album is pure gold. I already loved "Deadnight Warrior", but now, all of these songs, especially "Red Light In My Eyes pt 1" are sticking in my head.

Alexi Laiho, if ever there was a metal God, he would be pleased with you.

The chorus in Red Light In My Eyes Pt 1 is some kind of awesome.

If the vocals were a little easier to understand, and the album wasnt so short it could easily have been rated a classic, good review ShadowsFallen

"This album is so good I bleed from my rectum every time I listen to it."

Haha, thats an understatement. ;)
My favorite track on here is a tossup between "Deadnight Warrior" and "Touch Like an Angel of Death"

Im not sure if I like Lake Bodom or Touch like Angel of Death better. Overall, it's a really good album, may be my least favorite though...either this or AYDY.
