I just saw a video of some guy playing "Crossing The Rubicon" on guitar.
The guitar work from THA is really great. It isn't mindless shred either. If they played faster and didn't use as many chords, I would think it was Muhammed Suicmez, and I haven't heard anyone call what he does midless shred.
THA just use a lot of shred, but mixed with tateful and comlex single note riffs reminiscent of Lamb of God, but without the chugging. I love what these guys do.
They could use better vocals still.

Crossing the Rubicon is such a great song.

To be honest, the hardcore in their sound makes the vocals fit the band well.
They could still use better vocals though.

So, I've listened to this cd a couple of times and liked what i heard... but i'm also gonna base my rating mostly off of how they were in concert. They put on a great performance, the drummer was nuts and i especially loved their guitarist who also did back-up vocals... all in all, it was a great live show, and this is a great cd also.. vocals kinda whiney, but i got used to them.

whao, this is something different. like neo-classical metalcore.

A little bit, yes.
|
| |
the bass player is awesome. Its wierd though, how during most of the songs he blends in and you can't hear the bass until he does something flashy, which mysteriously turns his volume up in the mix

I've noticed that, which is a shame because he is good.
|
| |
yes he is very talented. He plays Warwick too...just like me.

I should check these guys out.
They added me on myspace months ago but I don't remember listening to them at all.
|
| |
Meh, they are kindof immature. Next album will hopefully be a little more diversity

and hopefully he won't scream like the guy from atreyu anymore
crossing the rubicon is amazing, everything else i can take or leave these days
|
| |
Yeah, I love that song
|
| |
i think that the screams in a couple songs sound a little bit strained, or it may just be his voice. other than that though i think they are a pretty tight band.
|
| |
ive known about the human abstract long before they came out with this new cd.and i still must say that there older stuff is so much better. songs like "the science of deduction" or "momento mori" very awesome songs. i admit that i like Vela together we await the storm but...i cant say i like the vocals too much.the guitars are amazing.they are a great team.

So apparently they have a new bassist.
|
| |
That sucks. That guy was good. At least, when he wanted to be.
|
| |
This band's kinda lame.
