the album you described sounds awful, but it doesn't sound like 'in the aeroplane over the sea'. understand, neutral milk hotel's mangum opus is far, far more than the sum of its parts. if you can't dig it, i feel sorry for you.This Message Edited On 10.11.06

This CD is pretty good, but I sort of agree with the review about the CD dropping after the title track. The first two are brilliant, but it sort of coasts out after that.

The title track is great in my opinion, and this album is also above average. I can see how someone could dislike this though, great review, you backed up the score you gave it well. And for that I applaud you. I also agree on Two Headed Boy, I don't find it all that good. In The Aeroplane Over The Sea is a beautiful song though, and there's so much emotion.
