This is an perfect example of a band selling out and losing their flare.
Their S/T album introduced me to the realm of post-hardcore and I ate up Watch Out! as well for my love of em.
But years later when they released this shit, I knew the AOF I loved had died and now we'd be getting tracks meant for radio with vocals screamed but audiable.
But oh well you can have em, mainstream, I was practically done with em anyways.
Oh BTW no matter how much Cocaine bashs em, I've seen him live 4 times, twice as AOF and twice as C&C.
He was far better live in C&C but no where close to as bad as Cocaine is saying.

It's a great album, I love that they downplayed Dallas, because he has an awful voice.

are you an idiot? Dallas makes the band. They need to kick George because he ruins this band. fuck.

What are you, the Wrong Police?
You don't think Dave is a great guitarist, fuc k I'd put him ahead of Ben (DEP).

Dave doesn't shred. He doesn't do anything that remotely resembles shredding, and saying anything of the contrary is ridiculous.

"Riffs harder"
There you happy but seriously you know what's ridiculous giving Alesena a rating of 4, so don't tell me what's ridiculous.

Yeah, it's pretty ridiculous of me to give an album a rating based on my enjoyment of it. This conversation is over.

On a related note, This Conversation is Over is a good song.

Alexisonfire are probably my favourite modern band, Watch Out! is an incredible album, they're first is almost as good, and this new one is excellent too. I love the singing, but i think Dallas has a much better voice, the three of them should do vocals 2gether more often.

And this band could never be mainstream, ne1 who thinks so should go and die:P

Average Band. They are mainstream^

EDIT: Also Dallas's voice has the ability to kill me anyway so i'll go ahead and called them mainstream as much as i want. This Message Edited On 05.23.08

This is probably my least favourie AOF cd, but it has a lot of good points. Overall it's a really solid album, but some tracks do drag on a bit which slows down the pace of the album ("This could be anywhere in the world", "Rough Hands"). Something which they have acheived with this album is creating an effective blend of the vocals which while creating catchy melodies also gives the album an edge.
