Question and Holy Mountains are my favs from these two albums.

I normally hate Daron's voice, but the way his and Serj's voice blend together on "Lost in Hollywood" is so pleasing. The only song where it doesn't irritate me to hear him take the lead.
I was never really into SOAD when everyone else was, but I've started going back and listening to their albums and I'm upset with myself for not seeing them live around this time. I've watched some of their more recent live performances and was really disappointed by Serj's voice these days.
This album is slowly becoming one of my favorites.

idk but something about BYOB makes it sound like total shit compared to everything else on this album

BYOB is bad, but not the worst on here
Old School Hollywood exists

old school sucks too, yeah, but the thing about BYOB is that it isn't the song itself, but the way it sounds, like the mixing totally sucks
like the part were serj is singing the "everybody in the desert having a good time" and then Darron comes in, like his vocals are wayyyyyyyy too loud at that part and its fuckign annoying
that and overall the song's structure feels way too robotic and clumsy

"BYOB" rules cmon guys
"Old School Hollywood" sucks though agreed Ars, gets a bit better near the end when Dolmayan steps up his game but the verses are ear rape

oh and also even serj sounds kinda lackluster in BYOB like he sounds like he hasn't had a single sip of water in like a week on that track
ok im done. Question! is such a good track.

The home stretch of "Question!" from the bridge to the end might be the best moment on this album

I like Cigaro and Question a bit, but that's like it, the rest is bad

This album is so obnoxiously loud in general, painful to listen to

agreed it sounds like shit because of it

Yeah SOAD had a real bad loudness problem all the way through their career (thx Rick Rubin) but it really seemed to come to a head here

"but this cocaine is amazing, such an underrated song. Probably my favourite riffs of theirs ever"
Ben, I've never had anyone agree with me on this. Thank you.

"Ben, I've never had anyone agree with me on this. Thank you."
Bro, I feel you, I've never heard anyone even mention this song when it has just about everything I love about SOAD all packed into a tight 2 minutes, it's perfect. Stands so far ahead of everything else on here for me

I can't see your SOULS souls through your EYES! The climbing walls are SLIIDing architecture

Yeah funnily enough it's one of the only songs on here where Daron keeps his trap shut. When he just focuses on the guitar and stops trying to steal Serj's job he actually writes amazing riffs

Yup, Daron can be annoying sometimes but he certainly brings the tunes.
