My Post-Metal band ranking (my rankings on this site are largely hated from what I've seen)

Neurosis > ISIS > Rosetta > Fall of Efrafa > Cult of Luna > Mouth of the Architect > Year of No Light > Old Man Gloom > jesu > Callisto > Altar of Plagues > A Storm of Light > Minsk > Omega Massif > Intronaut > Pelican > Russian Circles > Red Sparowes > the rest

Digging: Immolation - Kingdom of Conspiracy

Not gonna lie, it gets difficult to rate after FoE.

Actually, I rank Intronaut last, after after Pel, RC and RS.

Neurosis and ISIS always switch to be my favourites, but Neurosis usually win nowadays simply because they're, well, Neurosis (ISIS come close, but Neurosis juuuuuust take the cake).

I've checked out Latitudes, just haven't really given them a proper go. There are so many Post-Metal bands that are great, that was just a ranking of my favourites for the genre.

Some of you might not even consider Russian Circles to be Post-Metal, but I think they're too heavy to be Post-Rock.

it happens. they have a new 1, pretty great.

I love ISIS' two best (Oceanic and Panopticon) slightly more than Neurosis' two best (TSIB and GttR) but the breadth of Neurosis' amazing work can't be messed w/

Neurosis' best are Given to the Rising and The Eye of Every Storm. And The Eye of Every Storm > Every other album ever conceived.

i used to think TEoES was their best as well but then TSIB grew on me so much.

Times of Grace and Enemy Of The Sun are so awsome too.

All their albums are awesome, but I just don't think TEoES is beatable. I mean, it has the title track TEoES (arguably the best song ever written) and the best closer for any album ever; I Can See You.

I'm a hopeless Neurosis fanboy.
