@Budgie I like your perspective, it's a good mentality to have. You dig the old, and you like the new; it's a win win! I'll get some music nowadays that'll click for me bud, but sometimes it ain't hitting home the same way. Or a lot of the times i'll find something new and dig it for a while; then I'll find myself listening to the 'old' again, and I'll forget about it. I don't know if it's only a nostalgic thing or a repeated listening experience, because I'll know what I'm getting into. Time is certainly another another factor too like Titan was saying.. and of course, age or aids or whatever you call it.

people who reject music based on when it came out are mad, doesn't matter if it was made yesterday or 100 years ago

Of course, and I couldn't agree more Menawati. Good music is good music regardless of when it was made. There's a lot of things I dig that are beyond my time, and there's a lot of things I like more as I've gotten older. There are certain decades of music that are more my thing and I find this era not as kind to me. Stubbornness, madness? I don't know, it just doesn't rub me the same way. I wouldn't reject anything because it was made today or yesterday, that's silly.
