Dylanesque harmonica intros join two of the most melodically accessible songs, Coming Up Roses and Alphabet Town.

Only Alphabet Town has harmonica..

I just love this album. And the way it ends is simple but just perfect, in this line

I just told the biggest lie

Today, October 21st 2008, it's been 5 years since Elliott's tragic death. He'd only be 39 years old now..

RIP

Everything is exactly right

When I walk around here drunk every night

With an open container from 7-11

In St. Ides Heaven

I've been out haunting the neighborhood

And everybody can see I'm no good

When I'm walking out between parked cars

With my head full of stars

High on amphetamines

The moon is a lightbulb breaking

It'll go around with anyone

But it won't come down for anyone

Those lyrics are amongst my favourites ever and each time I listen to that song I gotta sing along. Scary.

I'd say it's arguably the best lo-fi album ever made. And one of the best singer/songwriter records aswell.
