"shadows makes this almost unbearable. s/t is lowkey better" [2] at least the singles sound like shit to me now
"self titled is easily their worst. it's offensively bad." I've tried hearing what you mean and have been unable to, but you do you.

I mean I pretty much can't stand Bat Country, Seize the Day, or Beast and the Harlot. Some of the few A7X songs I truly dislike these days - shit, I'd even take Dear God over all three of those. The singles off this did not age very well at all imo, and the rest wore off with time as well although there are standout moments.

Bat Country and Beast And The Harlot are the only two okay songs tho

@Drifter: I mean most bands tend to choose to save their best material for the full release anyway, it's not really a surprise lol
@Wonder: Second half I feel is a lot more cohesive - at least from "Sidewinder" on. Only track before that I really like is "Trashed and Scattered".

I think you just don't want to like the songs other people like cus it's "cool"

singles are the only thing that make this bearable

Ehhh I'm sure overhype plays a role in it - that can play a role in basically anything unless you go in with zero expectations. But I mean for an anecdotal example against that theory, "Ghost" is the most popular Badflower song and that's top 2 from their latest album imo.

Self titled is by far worse than this. They’ve always been corny but Scream is just taking things too far. Country is a horrible genre and they should feel bad for making Dear God. A Little Piece of Heaven is what happens when you mix acid and bath salts. Lost has auto tune. The outro for Unbound is offensively terrible. Critical Acclaims shout rap post chorus is machoman nationalistic bullshit. Almost Easy has one of the most painfully boring pre-choruses I’ve ever heard.
Afterlife and Brompton Cocktail are two bright spots on that puddle of shit album

I actually fucking love Almost Easy’s chorus. All the members combined voices in the background is beautiful. I hate the “Im not insane parts”. The solo is pretty great too. Probably the third best on the album for me behind Aftelife and Brompton Cocktail
