Good review. I have a few Glassjaw songs, my favorite being Siberian Kiss.

The only song I've heard by this band is "Ape Dos Mil", and I really like it. So I think I'll look into them further.

Great review.

This is an awesome band. i tihnk Darryl kinda ruined it with Head Automatica though. don't get me wrong, they are pretty good, but Glassjaw will always be better!

Incredible album - the emotion packed into this is amazing, and Daryl has such an unusual voice, ranging from angry howls to beautiful lulls that force you to listen to his lyrics. W&T is more ummm, ambient than this, but personally I prefer the harder edge of this album.

Classic--no less than 4.5 stars. HoS, your review was what stole my attention from mainstream bands like Finch, and got me interested in underground. This album, even after a year and a half, still incites emotions in me that I can rarely find anywhere else.

Ya because being signed to Warner Bros is underground. Tr00f.

yeah I miss Glassjaw a whole bunch, I was just about to review this CD since I have been in the mood for glassjaw lately but I saw this rediculously good review and I couldn't. One of the most influential albums of my life that really changed my music taste. I really need a new glassjaw CD

I remember the last time I saw Glassjaw was at Warped Tour and they played 'Natural Born Farmer' (I believe that was the track title) which was suppose to be off of the new ablum, and I was just waiting for the CD to come out, then they sort of broke up, Head Automatica came up, and that CD never came...

Head Automatica gets really old, really fast. Like it was a total downhill for me, I loved it, then liked it, and now it's just eh.

Head Automatica are good. Stop talking about other bands in a review that doesn't involve them.

This is a fantastic album, I especially love Siberian Kiss. I thought that Glassjaw were more hardcore than post-hardcore?

Actually it does involve them since the lead singer is in the other band we are talking about. It would be a different story if we were talking about metallica or someone not even closely related to the band at hand.

I love glassjaw and you have done them justice in this review. Oh and this album is not a good listen for a first timer.

What do you mean? Because it is less accessible than Worship And Tribute?

No way! It's way more accessible. It's just there are moments ("Babe" "Razorbites..." etc.) that are really grinding on the first listen whereas the only really painfully dissonant song on Worship and Tribute on the first listen is "Stuck Pig."

You really think so, DFelon? Because in Worship And Tribute there is Cosmopolitan Bloodloss, which i think their most accessible song... And the slow songs like Ape Dos Mil and Must've Run All Day.. While in "Everything..." i found out that the more slow songs like Majour, Her Middle Name Was Boom, and the title track is still heavier than those songs i mentioned above... But then again, it's probably because i listened to Worship & Tribute first before "Everything..." I still think that Worship & Tribute is more accessible, but hey it's only my opinion.. =) This Message Edited On 02.21.06

I love W&T and picked this up, thinking it would at least be good. It's alright, but it's WAY too woman-hating for my tastes. Being angry from time to time's well and good, but Daryl just sounds like an abusive asshole throughout the album. W&T's still a desert island album for me, but this just doesn't cut it for me. Maybe if I were still 15 and angry...

there is a lot of hating, but i mean cmon, he wrote these songs when he was like 16,17. The emotions he put into this whole thing is what amazes me. I get chills down my spine when i listen to lovebites and razorlines. This Message Edited On 06.25.06
