Amazon almost always sells new items (sometimes they're used or older items from 3rd-party seller, but these sellers always tend to sell them at ridiculous prices).

the more recent versions (~ 2004) are definitely remastered and compressed to sound louder, so you should be able to tell if that's the case as soon as you give your copy a spin. I hate it when they do that. some of those versions are also remixed and that sucks even more
