very good read regarding the new deth album guys. this quote stuck out to me in particular

"I’m going in the studio March 2 no matter what. It’s set right now, I told the label I’m not making another radio song ever, cause you know that’s what record companies want. It was the bane of Megadeth’s existence."

but also it really seems like dave is being a huge douche as usual and trying to pass off the failure of 13 and super collider as broderick and drover's doing which is absolutely not true

"They want to hear ‘The Conjuring,’ ‘Set the World Afire,’ stuff like ‘Devil’s Island,’ ‘Holy Wars’ and ‘Prisoners’ and I get it, I wrote those songs. I can do that in my sleep. But when you’re having someone say, ‘This is what you have to do,’ you know, you listen or you don’t."

Next album better be good after such words.

I'm curious to hear some of those old riffs from the mid/late-80s he was mentioning about trying to relearn

Yeah I'm sure he can still write those kind of songs (of that quality) in his sleep and that the only reason he hasn't done so in 25 years is because the record labels have demanded that every single song on every single album since 1992 has to be a radio song.

I thought the Chris Brown jacket was bad and then someone insulted the Ramones. :-(

I love thrash indeed. I also love death metal, and prog metal. Dream Theater's Images & Words, Awake, & Metropolis Pt. 2 are all easy 5's for me
